Coinciding with 'Sakagura Fest 2026,' held on the grounds of Kumazawa Sake Brewery, Shonan Beer will release a Kura Fest-limited beer, 'Sake Lees Hazy IPA Sake Yeast.' The venue is 7-10-7 Kagawa, Chigasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Over the two days of Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12, the event will be held as a spring festival where visitors can enjoy sake, food, and music, centered around Kumazawa Sake Brewery's restaurants and garden.

This limited release is a single brew that layers a sake-brewery-only element onto the increasingly popular Hazy IPA. Daiginjo sake lees were used in the mash on the same day they were produced, and sake yeast was also used in the brewing. Designed so that apple-like ginjo aromatics overlap with hop-derived citrus and tropical fruit aromas, it is likely to stand out for the richness of its layered fragrance.

Shonan Beer is a brand that champions pure, fresh beer with living yeast, unfiltered and unpasteurized. It also offers limited-batch brews and event labels, and this 'Sake Lees Hazy IPA Sake Yeast' follows that line. A small quantity will also be sold in bottles starting on the day of the event, so you can enjoy it on tap at the venue and, if you like it, take some home.

The participating venue facilities include Kuramoto Ryori Tensei, MOKICHI TRATTORIA, mokichi cafe, and other stores on the premises, with food and beer varying by location. The highlight this time is being able to enjoy the limited beer paired with food, alongside the atmosphere of a spring kura event. This is an event where you want to savor not only the aroma of the beer, but the food and space of the sake brewery as well.
