Shonan Beer will host Oktoberfest 2026 at Kumazawa Shuzo in Chigasaki from October 10 to 12, 2026. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the three-day event will feature 25 beers, including regular and limited releases.
Shonan Beer, the Chigasaki-based brewery in Kanagawa, will hold Kumazawa Shuzo Oktoberfest 2026 from Saturday, October 10 through Monday, October 12, 2026.
The event celebrates Shonan Beer’s 30th anniversary and will bring together 25 beers, the largest lineup in the brewery’s history. Visitors will be able to taste beers released throughout the year alongside special anniversary offerings.
One highlight is an eight-year-aged sour ale, which will be unveiled at the festival. Another featured beer is Harvest Hop Pale Ale, brewed with locally grown Cascade whole hops from Chigasaki. Designed with restrained bitterness, it combines the fresh aroma of Cascade hops with the distinctive character of fresh hops in an approachable pale ale.
The festival will take over the grounds of Kumazawa Shuzo, where guests can enjoy beer surrounded by greenery, live music, chef-created dishes, and food stalls. The setting brings together the atmosphere of a brewery, sake brewery, and restaurant, offering a distinctly local way to experience Shonan Beer.
Located in Kagawa, Chigasaki, Shonan Beer is known for brewing with regional ingredients and water. For the autumn holiday weekend, the festival offers beer lovers an opportunity to compare a wide range of beers while celebrating three decades of brewing in Shonan.
