NEIGHBOR, a beer pub in Nogata, Nakano Ward, Tokyo, posted its latest "Today’s on Tap" update on Instagram. The lineup includes eight beers, with two house collaborations among the guest selections.

Highlights include "Pyracantha" with VERTERE, listed as an NZ Pale Ale at 5.5%, Kyoto Brewing’s "Tokimeki Shisen" Tropical IPA at 7%, Paint Palette Brewery’s "Rain Afterglow" farmhouse ale brewed with ginger, red shiso, and amanatsu peel, and Nara Brewing’s "ENNUI" brown ale with azuki and condensed milk at 7%. The list also covers a wide range of flavor profiles, from hop-forward IPA to more malt-driven and ingredient-led beers.

Other taps are And Beer’s "Black Swallow" oatmeal stout at 4.6%, Nude Beer’s "AMATSUKAZE" West Coast Lager with Kitayama cedar at 4.5%, Flora Fermentation’s "Witte Wieven" White IPA at 7%, and NEIGHBOR x Bighand Bros. Beer’s Mexican Light Lager at 4.5%. It is a varied lineup that should work well for side-by-side tasting.

Food is part of the draw as well, with dishes such as fried oysters with pear and mint sauce, beef tendon stew with harissa, and maguro carpaccio listed alongside the beer. The result is a neighborhood beer pub that works both for a drink stop and for a full meal.
