New Release

Shinobazu Brewery Hitujiaisu in Ueno, Tokyo, introduced a new beer on Instagram called Natsuka Swing. The beer is listed as Session IPA w/Natsuka Orange with 5% ABV. According to the post, it uses plenty of peel from Natsuka, a seasonal citrus described as a rare variety with yuzu lineage, giving the beer a light drinkability and a refreshing, citrus-peel finish.

About the Brewery

Hitujiaisu is a self-brewing craft beer bar and lamb restaurant. Its official site says the brewery keeps two regular beers on tap while also brewing several rotating beers each month. That setup gives it room to release seasonal and limited beers with a clear sense of place and timing.

What This Beer Suggests

A Session IPA is built to keep the hop character of IPA while making the beer easier to drink. Adding Natsuka peel points toward a profile that should emphasize brightness, aroma, and a clean finish rather than sheer intensity. In other words, this looks like a beer designed for repeat sips, not a heavy pour.

For visitors in Ueno who want to pair lamb dishes with a fresh, citrus-led beer, Natsuka Swing fits the brewery’s style well.
