Sendai’s Yuyake Beer Garden Surpasses 220 Kegs of Weizen Freude, Limited-Time Curry Returns
Beer pub Yuyake Beer Garden in front of Sendai Station announced in a March 5, 2026 post that its limited-time "Chicken Indian Curry" is back, and that its original beer "Weizen Freude" has surpassed a cumulative 220 kegs sold. It also introduced new menu information featuring bracken fern from Nishiwaga Town.
Beer pub Yuyake Beer Garden in Aoba Ward, Kakyoin, Sendai City, shared an update on the shop’s latest news in an Instagram post dated March 5, 2026. This time, the highlights involved both food and beer.
On the food side, the former grand-menu item "Chicken Indian Curry" has returned for a limited time. The shop says it recreated a recipe blended from more than a dozen spices, positioning it as a dish with deep aroma and flavor made to pair with beer.
The star on the beer side is the shop’s original "Weizen Freude." The post reported that cumulative sales have surpassed 220 kegs, showing its strength as a house standard. It also suggested pairings with ingredients from Nishiwaga Town, Iwate Prefecture, and mentioned how well white beer from Nishiwaga Town and Weizen-style beers complement each other.
In addition, "ohitashi made with bracken fern" sourced from the same Nishiwaga Town has also gone on sale. With a mountain-vegetable snack that does not interfere with the aroma of craft beer, the lineup now makes it easier to build everything from a light drink to a meal pairing.
Yuyake Beer Garden is a beer pub that also offers private use of the second floor and a horigotatsu-style party room on the third floor. For anyone in the Sendai Station area who wants to enjoy Tohoku ingredients and local beer together, this update may be a good reason to visit again.
