Camado Brewery HAKOFUNE in Kamado, Mizunami City, Gifu, has published its weekly schedule and tap list. On Saturday, July 25, the brewpub will keep special hours from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. to coincide with the Kamado Town summer festival. Inside, the bar will serve six draft beers along with snacks and shaved ice. Two shaved-ice flavors are planned, plum and melon, and there will also be a beer-based adult-style shaved ice.
This week's taps
- YURU Red Ale, 5.0%
- Natsuzora Sansho Ale, 5.0% (new batch)
- Fond de White, 5.0%
- Escap the Routine, West Coast IPA, 6.0%
- OffBelay Hazy Pale Ale, 5.0% → Discovery#1 High Aroma Hazy IPA, 6.0%
- Weizen Master, 10.0% (running low) → Kawachi Bankan Stout, 5.0%
The lineup covers red ale, spiced pale ale, witbier, West Coast IPA, hazy pale ale, and stout, making it easy to find something across styles. New batch Natsuzora Sansho Ale, the YURU tea red ale series, and the new Discovery#1 all point to beers with a clear aromatic profile. The handoff from the 10.0% Weizen Master to Kawachi Bankan Stout also looks like one of the day's highlights. At the Kamado community center booth, the festival will also feature two draft beers including Basara Mizunami Ale, bottled beer, and freshly fried curry bread.
HAKOFUNE is an on-site brewery bar, so guests can drink draft beer as fresh as it gets. The venue also uses beer cups developed with local ceramic artists, which fits the area's Mino ware culture. With Kamado Station about a three-minute walk away, it is an easy stop not only on festival day but throughout the week.
