CraftBeerSpot Hathor taps Edel Pils and 11 more beers on Aug. 22
The Kyobashi beer pub updated its Aug. 22 draft list with 12 beers spanning pilsner, summer lager, barrel-aged anniversary ale, fruit beer, IPA, and stout, alongside its smoked-food menu.
CraftBeerSpot Hathor in Kyobashi, Osaka, posted its August 22 draft-beer lineup. True to a bar with 16 taps and smoked food, the list ranges from crisp lagers to hop-forward ales, fruit beer, and stout, giving drinkers plenty of ways to build a tasting flight.
The lager side is especially strong. Sapporo Beer’s Edel Pils is a classic pilsner built on floral aroma and refined bitterness from Czech Saaz hops. Minoh Beer’s Summer Lager brings bright citrus-like aromatics from American hops, then finishes light and dry thanks to the use of rice, making it an easy pick for warm weather.
The ale and IPA selection goes wider. Karl Strauss’s 37th Anniversary Golden Ale is described as a barrel-aged, bourbon-leaning beer layered with coffee, oak, cocoa nibs, and vanilla. ISEKADOYA Beer’s DANK DANK DANK!! is presented as an American IPA with tightened balance between bitterness and malt sweetness. Also on tap are KASUMI from Shiga Kogen Beer, Kinoni Pale Ale Real Ale Ver and Kinoni Pale Ale Citra Ver from Onidensetsu Beer, and Double Swisher from Nara Brewing.
For something different, the list also includes Firestone Walker’s Primal Elements Blueberry & Marionberry, Minoh Beer’s Stout Real Ale Ver, Beer Hearn’s Sansho White Ale, and Shiga Kogen Beer’s Baby Blonde Miyama. It is a well-rounded lineup that moves from bright and refreshing to dark and layered, with smoked dishes available to match.
