Sakazuki Lab in Adachi, Tokyo started a guerrilla-style "tomato festival" on July 1, opening at 5:00 p.m. The new program follows last week’s nigori-sake festival, which ended with beer and sake nearly sold out, and marks a refreshed July lineup at the brewery.

The main feature is `shy girl`, a tomato beer devised by Brewing head brewer Kenta. Sakazuki Lab is using it for a set of tomato beer cocktails: `black boy`, `shy Caesar`, and `mliko boy`. The concept is straightforward: pair the drinks with tomato-forward food rather than treat them as a standalone novelty.

The food list includes sausage minestrone, fruit tomatoes, steamed chicken with fruit tomatoes and scallion salt dressing, baked scallops with fresh tomato sauce, shrimp chili with mini tomatoes, chicken nuggets with tomato BBQ sauce, Margherita pizza, gnocchi with swordfish and eggplant in tomato sauce, and tomato sanratan. Some items are limited in quantity, so the brewery is urging guests to order early.

The post also points to July programming at sister venue Sakazuki Brewing, including a fresh tap of `Hibi Tantan`, rain-day perks, a monthly beer-rotation event starting on July 9, and a 3rd-anniversary event from July 15 to 19.
