Takadanobaba Beer Shokudo updates its 5/30 tap list: Uchu, Cantillon, 3 Sons, and more
Takadanobaba Beer Shokudo released its tap list for May 30. From two Phase Three collaboration beers, Totopia, Uchu, Cantillon, North Park, and 3 Sons, the lineup spans everything from IPAs to lambics and barrel-aged stouts.
The beer pub "Takadanobaba Beer Shokudo," near Takadanobaba Station, is known as a place where you can take your time enjoying rotating craft beers on tap. In a May 30 post, it revealed the list posted on its clipboard under Today's Craft Beers. In addition to 10 craft beers, the regular Kirin Heartland was also available that day.
The lineup is led by a strong IPA presence. Phase Three × Parish's "Pixel in the Machine," Phase Three × Messorem's "Pixel Demoliri," Totopia's "Crawphobia (Chicken Claw Phobia)," and Phase Three × Brujos's "Pixel Populus" all offer a clear, hop-forward profile. Also on the list were Uchu's "Matariki" and "Uchu Pils," B.M.B's "Amethyst Eye," Cantillon's "Saint Blue," North Park's "Friends & Neighbors," and 3 Sons's "Happy Anniversary 7 Year," making for a broad spread that also includes a West Coast Pilsner, smoothie sour, lambic, Vienna lager, and barrel-aged imperial stout.
Because the beer styles are clearly separated, it seems like you could start with a hop-driven pour and finish with acidity or barrel aging. In Takadanobaba's unpretentious setting, this looks like the kind of day made for drinking through the lineup while pairing it with food.
