The beer pub P-144 × Citra Bar in Higashi-Ikebukuro, Ikebukuro, has introduced a new spring dish, "Broad Bean and Bamboo Shoot Cheese Omelet - Lemon Sansho Butter -", along with a lineup of eight draft craft beers. At P-144 × Citra Bar, located in the B1 to 2F floors of PAPILLON BLDG. just a one-minute walk from the east exit of Ikebukuro Station, a new spring-inspired menu item and the day’s draft beer lineup were announced at the same time. In this post, in addition to noting the 11:30 opening time and 23:30 closing time, it also states that same-day reservations are accepted.
The new food item is the "Broad Bean and Bamboo Shoot Cheese Omelet - Lemon Sansho Butter -." It is a plate that wraps up spring ingredients, paired with a homemade lemon sansho butter sauce. It seems well suited to pairing with beer, and rather than a light appetizer, it comes across as the kind of snack you’d want to match from the very first drink.
There are eight craft beers on tap for the day. The lineup includes Sierra Nevada’s "Pils," CRAFTROCK Brewing’s "Citrus on the rock!," Gangi Brewing’s "Sleep," Hideji Beer’s "Stout," Brewmin' Beer’s "Mabu de Kyun Juicy," VERTERE’s Imperial IPA, NUDE BEER’s "Asamoya," and Thornbridge’s "Wild Raven." The selection spans everything from pilsners and lagers to English Pale Ale, IPA, Imperial IPA, Hazy IPA, and Black IPA, making it easy to choose anything from a crisp, easygoing pint to a fuller-bodied one.
P-144 × Citra Bar features a space with the warmth of wood, a pub-style first floor, a calm dining-oriented second floor, and a basement floor with a hideaway feel. With signature ultra-thick fresh pasta, Citra Bar chicken, and small-plate Italian dishes, it is a highly convenient spot in Ikebukuro for enjoying the day’s rotating draft beers.
