Beer Stand Amber Rondo, a beer pub in Honcho, Aoba-ku, Sendai, opens a little later than usual at 16:30 today, Tuesday, June 9. Since relocating from Kokubuncho to Honcho, the bar has continued to position itself as a place where drinkers can focus on craft beer and settle in for a relaxed after-work pint.

Today’s tap list features 10 beers. It starts with the familiar Kirin Ichiban Shibori Premium, then moves into Ishinomaki Hop Works’ 4th anniversary beer "MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU," Great Dane’s "Lemon Lager," "DDH WC DIPA," and "Everyday IPA," and Black Tide’s 6th anniversary "SiX ESB." The lineup also includes Schneider’s "Helle Weisse," Revision’s "D-IPA," Trillium’s "Fort Point IPA," and Riegele’s "Kellerbier," offering a mix of Japanese staples and imported favorites.

Until Sunday, June 14, the pub is also running an 18th anniversary appreciation campaign. Ishinomaki Hop Works draft beer, plus Schneider and Riegele bottles and draft beers, are all 18% off. Amber Rondo’s fried dumplings are discounted as well, and the BIG size with four extra-large pieces is priced at 580 yen.

For the weekend, a Special Weekend is scheduled for June 12-14, with start times of 16:00 on Friday and Saturday and 15:00 on Sunday. Sendai Kuroku’s garlic shrimp will be served, alongside other beer-friendly dishes. It is a straightforward but appealing setup for anyone looking to pair fresh taps with special food in central Sendai.
