Beer Stand Amberlond taps Aomori Lager, first lunch service on 5/16
Beer pub Beer Stand Amberlond in Honcho, Aoba Ward, Sendai, will open at 4:00 p.m. on May 14 and 15. On the 14th, the tap lineup will include 10 beers from Japan and abroad, including Be Easy Brewing’s Aomori Lager, and on the 16th the bar will hold its first lunch service to coincide with the Aoba Festival.
The beer pub Beer Stand Amberlond in Honcho, Aoba Ward, Sendai, will operate with a 4:00 p.m. opening on May 14 and 15. As of the 14th, there are 10 beers on tap. It is a lineup that feels very much like the shop itself, with a broad selection ranging from breweries in Aomori to overseas classics.

In particular, “Aomori Lager” is a pilsner made with New Zealand hops that Be Easy Brewing releases only in Aomori, and in this post it is being promoted as available at the shop as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations. While several Be Easy Brewing beers are on the list, West Coast Brewing, Pizza Port, Dieu du Ciel!, Trillium Brewing Company, and Weihenstephan are also included, making it easy to compare flavors from Japan and abroad.
On May 16, in conjunction with the Sendai Aoba Festival, the shop will hold its first lunch service from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Each set of Towada bara-yaki, Amberlond grilled dumplings, and Amberlond fried chicken comes with barley rice, miso soup, ohitashi, and pickles. From 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., there is no cover charge when ordering lunch, and it is also possible to stop in for beer only. Regular hours resume after 4:00 p.m.
In addition, the outdoor space at the shop will also be open on May 16 and 17. Visitors may bring in drinks and food purchased at the venue, an operation designed to absorb the festival crowds. As a beer pub in Honcho near Kotodai Park and Nishi Park, its flexible festival-day service stands out.
