At the beer pub Two Fingers in Nishi-Ikebukuro, Ikebukuro, two Citra single-hop kegs from Italy's CRAK Brewery appeared at the same time. In the owner's post, the beers were introduced as a theme asking whether Citra tastes and smells different depending on its origin, with two versions, Lakeside Farm and Roza Farm, available side by side.

As CRAK Brewery's post explains, even with the same variety, differences in hop origin tend to show up in the shape of the aroma. These two kegs are structured so you can compare the individual character of each farm while centering on Citra's citrusy and tropical impression, making this less a simple new release and more a tasting set built around comparison.

That's not all on the tap list. As staples at Two Fingers, Highway to Helles (Helles) and Garage (APA) are on offer, while New Zealand's Behemoth brings Merika (APA) and Bright As Day (IPA). In addition, Monkish Brewing from the U.S. has Monkish of Anaheim (DDH Double HAZY), and Fidens Brewing has Free From Doubt (Triple HAZY) on tap. Rounding things out are RAR's Out of Order - Galloping Gossip (smoothie) and Whiplash's Slow Life (nitro stout), giving the lineup a broad range of styles.

As you'd expect from Two Fingers in the west exit area of Ikebukuro Station, the selection lets you move from a crisp Helles or APA to hazy IPAs, smoothies, and nitro stout all in one go. Centered on the CRAK Brewery Citra comparison, the point this time is that you can build a flow from your first pour all the way to a dark final glass, depending on your mood.
