Hop BroSimply put, Helles is a light, easygoing lager, and APA is an American pale ale with a moderate hop aroma. In other words, it's easy to build an easy-drinking progression, and the first glass goes down smoothly.
MugiI see! So Godspeed's Sanft and Craft Rock's Drink All Day would fit that flow too!
Hop BroExactly. With pilsners, kölsches, and other easy-drinking lagers, you can keep going even on hot days. And with HAZY beers like Phase Three's Pixcel and DDH IPAs like North Park's Hibernation Sickness, you can really build up the aroma in the back half.
