ROMEO BREWERY Launches Appetizer Set with Three-Beer Tasting
ROMEO BREWERY in Oshiage has introduced a new appetizer set paired with a three-beer tasting flight. The lineup features Ume Gose, Nebbia, and Black Botanical Saison, and each beer can also be ordered on its own. The owner says the set will be refreshed about once a month.
ROMEO BREWERY is a self-brewed craft-beer pub in Oshiage where beer and food are designed to work together. In its latest announcement, the brewery introduced a new appetizer set paired with a three-beer tasting flight. The service window for August 27 was listed as 17:30 to 23:00.
The first lineup is:
- Ume Gose with marinated fresh fish in plum sauce
- Nebbia with fried chicken tenderloins and genovese sauce
- Black Botanical Saison with chicken liver pâté
Ume Gose is a gose built around the tartness of ripe plum and a gentle salty sweetness. Nebbia is a juicy hazy IPA loaded with citrus hops, with Galaxy, Citra, and Ekuanot bringing a smooth, soft body from oats and wheat. Black Botanical Saison combines roasted malt, juniper berries, and saison yeast, finishing crisp after a toasted, lightly coffee-like character.
What makes the set interesting is the way the food and beer roles are split: bright acidity for the plum-marinated fish, aromatic hop weight for the fried chicken, and a drier, more savory finish for the liver pâté. Single orders are available too, so it works both as a tasting introduction and as a way to approach the menu one beer at a time.
The brewery says the set was built by the owner, who has spent plenty of time drinking these beers, and it should be updated roughly monthly. For beer fans visiting near Skytree, it is a clear example of a brewpub making pairing the starting point rather than an afterthought.
