Three new labels tapped at a Mitaka beer pub

At Beer Pub Neko to Azarashi, a three-minute walk from the south exit of Mitaka Station, an announcement has gone up for new taps. The shop is a small beer pub centered around counter seating, with 10 craft beers on offer, and its hallmark is that you can also enjoy pairings with dishes that suit the day's beer.

The current lineup

The post highlights the following three labels.

- Pilsner / Beer Hearn
5.0%. Introduced as 'a sparkling pilsner with a clean finish you can gulp down.' An easy choice for the first beer.

- SNOW MONKEY IPA Silver Label ver. / Shiga Kogen Beer
Hazy IPA, 6.0%. Presented as a beer with tropical grapefruit and peach notes, along with sweetness and firm bitterness.

- Almost Cider Fuji ver. / Iwate Kura Beer
Hard Cider, 5.5%. A cider made with Fuji apples from Ichinoseki, with a rich apple aroma. It sounds like a good one to slip in between beers.

A place to enjoy with food

Along with healthy side dishes that use lots of vegetables, the shop also offers fried potatoes, chili beans, potato salad, meat dishes, fish dishes, and penne. It's set up so you can pair it not only with beer on its own, but also with everything from light snacks to a proper meal.

On public holidays it opens at 3 p.m., making it a convenient spot for days when you want to start drinking slowly. Because the three new taps differ in style and flavor direction, you can also enjoy them in order: pilsner first, Hazy IPA second, cider to finish.
