ROMEO BREWERY Begins Serving New "Strawberry Cake Sour" and Rolls It Out with Its Spring Menu
The beer pub ROMEO BREWERY in Oshiage, Tokyo, introduced its new beer "Strawberry Cake Sour" alongside its business hours for March 20. The drink layers the tartness of strawberries with vanilla aroma, and is offered together with three spring food items.
ROMEO BREWERY, a self-brewed beer pub in Oshiage, posted its latest business update on Instagram and announced that it will be open on Friday, March 20 (national holiday), from 12:00 to 23:00.
The focus of the post is the new beer "Strawberry Cake Sour", which began being served the day before. The style is strawberry sour, with an alcohol content of 4.6% and IBU 4, making its lightness stand out in the numbers as well. For pairing, "vanilla ice cream" is suggested, offering a way to layer a soft sweet aroma over the sweet-and-tart strawberry impression.
According to the shop's comment, the finish is centered on a clean tartness, with the aim of making it easy to drink in spring. Including its red color, it is positioned as a beer that is easy to enjoy in a dessert-like way. As a beer pub offering, it is interesting not only as a drink after a meal, but also as something to pair with a light snack break.
In addition, the spring food menu introduces three dishes:
- Marinated octopus, celery, and hassaku citrus
- Garlic shrimp
- Firefly squid peperoncino
With citrus, seafood, and garlic all featured, the lineup is well suited for trying alongside sour beers with acidity.
