Enjoying the Tap List in Takashimadaira

Beer Pub Kirigirisu, located near Takashimadaira Station and next to the local Chinese restaurant Hamaru, is a small, counter-focused bar where you can take your time over craft beer. According to the shop information, it has a compact nine-seat layout, making it a good place to settle in and slowly sip a glass.

The draft beer worth noting this day was Ushitora Brewery's "Lime-Infused Brut IPA." At 7% ABV, it is said to drink lightly, and as the name suggests, it is easy to imagine bright citrus notes. Alongside it on draft was BrewDog's "Punk IPA," creating a lineup where a familiar staple could be enjoyed in the shop's original US pint glass.

Among the bottled beers, Heller Brewery's "SCHLENKERLA RAUCH BIER Marzen" was listed, though it had sold out by then. In its place, Denver Beer Co.'s "Incredible Pedal IPA" was chosen. As a result, the lineup was striking for its range, centered on IPA but also reaching into rauchbier-style beers and American canned beer.

On the food side, the blackboard menu showed sold-out signs, so there was also some pleasure in choosing snacks. Rather than flashy presentation, this is the kind of beer pub that suits people who want to enjoy the beer's character and the shop's comfortable distance exactly as they are.
