Golden Garden in Hiroshima updates taps and adds a Daisen Brewery preview ahead of Aug. 22-23 takeover
Golden Garden, a beer pub in Hiroshima's Shintenchi district, shared an update on its Obon one-person service and refreshed draft and bottle offerings. Highlights include BLACK TIDE BREWING's orange fruit lager, a Daisen Brewery India Pale Saison preview, and a tap takeover planned for Aug. 22-23.
Golden Garden, a beer pub in Hiroshima's Shintenchi district, announced a refresh to both its draft and bottle lineup during its Obon one-person operation. Two HNB draft beers were kicked and replaced with new selections, while BLACK TIDE BREWING's orange-based fruit lager and Daisen Brewery's India Pale Saison were put on early release.
The bottle shop now carries Racco IPA and Momotobi Penguin from Himitsu Beer in Mie, plus a Hazy and a West Coast IPA from VERTERE in Tokyo. The staff said these were breweries they personally wanted to drink, which fits the bar's straightforward, beer-focused approach.
On the service side, the bar planned to open early once preparations were finished and to stay open until 11 p.m., with the option to extend if guests remained. Happy hour runs until 7 p.m., with draft beers from in-house brewery HIROSHIMA NEIGHBORLY BREWING offered at a better price. Food options include chilled oden, smoked macaroni salad, sardine tempura, char siu, Yamagata-style dashi tofu, and butter chicken curry.
Golden Garden also announced a Daisen G Beer tap takeover for Aug. 22 and 23. The lineup will feature award-winning beers, and brewer Hide will visit on both days.
