Craft Beer Spot Hathor in Kyobashi, Osaka shared an Instagram post titled "Summer Fried-Tofu Research." The bar said it would open at 3:00 p.m. on the holiday Tuesday and framed the post around finding the best way to enjoy fried tofu with beer.

The day’s draft lineup featured 12 beers. Alongside standard Sapporo Black Label, the bar listed Minoh Beer’s "Plum Gose" and "W-IPA Real Ale ver," Shonan Beer’s "Summer Oerange Ale," Shimanami Brewery’s "First Lager," Shiga Kogen Beer’s "from scratch Real Ale ver," Nomcraft × Choryo’s "Wine Knot?," two Bear Bottle beers, Miyazaki Hideji Beer’s "Kuri Kuro," and Firestone Walker’s "Primal Elements Blueberry & Marionberry." The selection spans crisp lagers, sour-leaning beers, real ales, and darker styles.

Hathor has been operating since 2015 and describes itself as a beer pub with 16 taps and smoked food on its official blog. It is the kind of place where the beer is the center of the experience, and the food is chosen to match. Fried tofu, with its savory aroma and gentle richness, sounds like a natural partner for a gose, a W-IPA, or a dark beer.
