The 12th episode marks the first outdoor recording in Shimokitazawa

The podcast "Afterschool Broadcasting Club" produced by Afterschool Brewery in Ikejiri-Ohashi took on its first outdoor recording in its 12th episode. Using a portable recorder bought at PODCAST EXPO, it was recorded from "Bonus Track Beer Fest 2026" in Shimokitazawa. For the toast, they paired it with beer from RIKRI BREWING of Gakugei-Daigaku, which was making its first appearance at a beer festival.

Beer talk discussed on the program

In the first half, they reported on their booth at Aichi's music festival "Mori, Michi, Ichiba." Next to Cat's Issue, the limited-label beer by artist Ken Kagami reportedly sold out at around 300 bottles, and the smoothies also did well. In the latter half, the "Private Beer Meeting" segment explored the connection between Father's Day and beer from historical and cultural perspectives. In this week's beer fortune-telling, three styles appeared: American IPA, gose, and fruit beer, creating a format where listeners can imagine the flavor based on their mood.

How the Brewery Presents Itself as an Ikejiri-Ohashi Brewery

Operating from inside Home/work village, the shop's signature style is to create an "adults' after school" atmosphere while introducing local stores and events. This time, as information from the Mishuku and Ikejiri area, it also introduced the board-soba shop "Yamatoko," just a short walk from Home/work village, making for a program design that connects beer with neighborhood strolls. Starting in June, the taproom's business hours will also change to 14:00-22:00 on weekdays and 12:00-22:00 on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Closed on Tuesdays, the schedule has been adjusted to make it easier to stop by after work.
