The venue produces and serves craft beer made with water from Ryusendo Cave and local ingredients, while also functioning as a place where visitors can shop, eat, and learn about the area. It is part of a wider local hub that connects tourism with regional food and culture.
July is packed with events. On 7/7 (Tue), the brewery will release a new craft beer called "Hoshimeguri." On 7/18 (Sat), it will appear at the Jodogahama night market in Miyako. From 7/18 (Sat) to 7/20 (Mon), it will also set up at "Furusato Gourmet Terrace" in Tokyo's Okachimachi area. Other dates include a trumpet live performance by Masahiro Makihara on 7/19 (Sun) and the "Wakka Summer Grand Appreciation Festival" on 7/25 (Sat).
The appreciation festival is planned around "Iwate Tankaku beef, Veibel, and Yamaguchi taiko," underscoring the brewery's focus on local ingredients and culture. With a new beer launch and a full slate of appearances, July looks set to be a busy month for the brewery in Iwaizumi.
