TAP ROOM 99 in Chiba to host 2nd anniversary event, featuring 99 HOPPY LAGER
TAP ROOM 99 in Chiba City will celebrate its second anniversary with a three-day event from September 4 to 6. The lineup includes the limited beer 99 HOPPY LAGER, crafted with the head brewer’s involvement, plus all craft beers at 550 yen.
TAP ROOM 99, a brewery taproom within walking distance of JR Chiba Station, is marking its second anniversary. The venue describes itself as a hideaway-style space serving brewery-direct draft beer and seasonal dishes made with Chiba-grown ingredients.
The anniversary event runs from September 4 to 6. The highlight is 99 HOPPY LAGER, a limited beer brewed with the shop manager’s participation for the occasion. It is being presented as the commemorative beer for the taproom’s second year.
For beer drinkers, the pricing is straightforward: all craft beers are 550 yen during the event, served in straight glasses. That makes the taproom a practical stop for tasting through the lineup while focusing on fresh draft pours.
Other event features include limited anniversary food such as snacks, pizza, and sweets, a rock-paper-scissors contest held every day at 20:00 and 22:00, a gacha-style prize challenge at checkout, and sticker gifts for visitors. A talk event with head brewer Matsuo is also scheduled for September 5 at 21:00.
Reservations are accepted by phone, the official website, and Tabelog. Since the limited beer and anniversary menu items are available in limited quantities, early visits are recommended during busy hours.
