The craft brewery Isana Brewing in Akishima, Tokyo, announced on Instagram that it will hold an event on Friday, April 3.

This time's event is a 1st Anniversary Celebration for the Dashi Beer Gold Award. In the post, the brewery said Mr. Hattori of Phantom Zebra will be invited and will be at the store from opening time, and that a small talk show starting at 7 p.m. will be held. No reservation is required, making it a casual free event anyone can drop in on.

The talk is expected to cover the path that led to the gold award, as well as the future of dashi beer. It will also feature the story of going all the way to Hokkaido to collect Rishiri kombu for making the broth, so it may also touch on the reporting and brewing episodes behind the beer-making process.

Isana Brewing is known as a brewery and roastery that makes craft beer using Akishima's deep underground water. The shop is located a three-minute walk from the south exit of JR Akishima Station, and continues to operate with beer and coffee at its core. This event looks set to be a place where the brewery's community-rooted efforts can be shared directly with visitors.
