Tap Update

Korinbo Jivilba in Kanazawa’s Katamachi district has introduced Minoh Beer’s HAIKARA PILS. In the Instagram post, it appears as the seventh featured tapping. The beer is listed as an Italian Pilsner with 5.5% ABV.

The appeal of this beer is its balance: easy to drink like a lager, but with a clearer hop presence. Gentle malt sweetness meets a herbal, noble-hop aroma, giving it a clean profile with enough definition to stand out. It should work well as a first pint or alongside a meal.

About the Venue

Korinbo Jivilba is known as Kanazawa’s first craft-beer specialty pub. The bar keeps eight taps running with direct deliveries from breweries in Japan and overseas, so the guest-beer rotation is part of the fun. Located in Katamachi, it is easy to drop in while walking around central Kanazawa.

The food menu is built to match beer: handmade gyoza, house-smoked items, beef jerky, and Noto pork sausages are among the options. For a pilsner like HAIKARA PILS, those savory dishes should highlight the beer’s malt character and hop aroma nicely.

How to Enjoy It

On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, the bar opens from 3 p.m., making it a good place for daytime beer. A crisp pilsner makes sense as an opening drink before moving on to the next tap. For drinkers tracking guest-beer changes in Kanazawa, this is one to keep on the radar.
