At Mercato Mabuchi on Dainiidori in Hamamatsu, new craft beer arrivals for the weekend were announced. The post lined up two beers from West Coast Brewing and two from Open Air Brewing, offering a wide range of expressions from strongly aromatic hop beers to pale ales that pair easily with food.
This week's lineup
- `Triple Cone` / West Coast Brewing
A Hazy IPA made lavishly with Wai-iti Hop Juice. Tropical aromas reminiscent of peach, lychee, and melon spread out, followed by a refreshing finish with passion fruit-like brightness.
- `Piñata Pale Ale` / West Coast Brewing
A pale ale that layers berry-like and dank aromas from Mosaic and Strata with juicy notes of orange and melon. Finished with lager yeast, it strikes a balance between crisp drinkability and firm bitterness.
- `southern winds` / Open Air Brewing
A beer made with Nelson Sauvin and Rakau, notable for aromas of white grape, citrus, and tropical fruit. It also carries a fresh green-grass nuance, giving it depth within a soft mouthfeel.
- `nonic` / Open Air Brewing
A beer with a malty, gentle drinkability reminiscent of British pub culture. Amarillo and Cascade are lightly layered on top, with subdued carbonation that makes it easy to sip slowly.
Mercato Mabuchi's post is notable for a lineup centered on aromatic IPAs while also looking toward pale ales that pair well with meals and beers with a calmer flavor profile. If you stop by the store over the weekend, it should be enjoyable as a lineup you can choose from to match your preferences.
