Kochi Campagne Brewery, based in Kami City, Kochi Prefecture, continues to make beers under the TOSACO brand with a focus on local ingredients. The new release is Guava Tropical Hazy IPA, a seasonal beer built on the brewery’s standard Hazy IPA, Arigatosako.

According to the brewery, the beer opens with tropical aromas reminiscent of mango and coconut, followed by the fruit character of guava. Wheat malt and oats give it a soft, juicy texture, while the 7% ABV keeps the beer firmly in IPA territory. The idea is to balance fruit-driven drinkability with a fuller body.

The guava used in the beer comes from Nishikawa Farm in Nankoku, Kochi, where it is grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. That local sourcing gives the beer a clear connection to Kochi’s farming landscape, and the brewery also notes a farming-welfare collaboration behind the fruit supply.

TOSACO has long emphasized regional ingredients, circulation, and craftsmanship, brewing in small batches and exploring a wide range of local flavors. That approach has already shown up in beers such as Yuzu Pale Ale and Wajo Kölsch, and this guava release follows the same line of work.

The beer is set to go on sale on July 9 for JPY 1,000. Only about 330 bottles will be produced, making it a limited summer release that highlights Kochi’s fruit and the brewery’s Hazy IPA style.
