3TREE BREWERY opened in February 2021, about a three-minute walk from the east exit of Hankyu Ibaraki-shi Station. It was established as the first brewpub in the Hokusetsu area. The brewery is operated by a married couple, and its name is a play on the Japanese surname Mori, meaning “forest,” and “3TREE.”
The former flower shop has been transformed into a compact brewing space: the brewery occupies the first floor, while the second floor offers a clean, stylish standing-bar area with large communal tables. Brewing takes place in three 100-liter tanks, making the operation notably small. Only one or two kegs per batch may be available for sale outside the brewery, which makes tasting these beers in Tokyo a particularly limited opportunity.
