April Highlights

The brewpub "And Beer" in Koenji Kita, Suginami Ward, Tokyo, shared its April schedule. Closed on Mondays, it will be open from Tuesday through Sunday and will also offer take out beer. The shop's signature is its format, which lets guests enjoy food and beer with equal emphasis, and that style will remain unchanged in April.

Beers on the Lineup

- Ume Weizen (Ume Boys)
- Scheduled to be tapped from 4/8 (Wed) to 4/12 (Sun).
- Introduced as an annual collaboration beer, offering a Weizen that brings out the character of ume.
- Coffee Ale (Coffee Wrights)
- Scheduled to be tapped from 4/22 (Wed) to 4/25 (Sat).
- Introduced as a collaboration beer incorporating coffee aromas and flavors.

Food and Events

And Beer says it will brew biryani every day in April as well. For the first week, under the theme "A Spring-Inspired Biryani, Part 2," it plans hotaruika and shiso biryani on Wednesday and Thursday, and sea bream biryani with butterbur sprout miso on Friday and Saturday. In addition, various biryanis will appear each week under changing concepts.

On 4/25 (Sat), Dosa? will hold a popup featuring South Indian meal crepes, and on 4/26 (Sun), Unagi-san will hold a popup serving jollof rice, a West African regional dish. Also on the same day, starting at 16:00, DJ Hossy's "Good Music" is scheduled, making for a service built around food and music.

This April lineup layers the atmosphere of Koenji with the craft beer and food enjoyment that are uniquely brewpub. It looks like an easy place to stop by, whether you're there for the beer, or for the biryani and popups.
