ROMEO BREWERY opens at 5:30 PM on March 27, two beers that pair with the spring new shirasu and green shiso arrabbiata
ROMEO BREWERY (Oshiage, Tokyo) released its business information for Friday, March 27. It will be open from 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM and will serve its spring new menu item, "Arrabbiata with shirasu and green shiso." The brewery is also recommending Lemonglass Kölsch and Yuzu Hazy IPA as beers to pair with it.
In an Instagram post, ROMEO BREWERY announced that it would be open on Friday, March 27 from 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The beer pub is located at 2-12-3 Oshiage, Sumida-ku, Tokyo, and its official website describes it as serving "house-made craft beer and pasta in Oshiage."
The dish introduced in this post is the spring new menu item, "Arrabbiata with shirasu and green shiso." It brings together green shiso and shirasu in a simple arrabbiata, with capers added as a hidden accent, and is said to taste even fresher with a squeeze of lemon. It is a seasonal suggestion that naturally connects craft beer and food.
The beers listed to accompany it are `Lemonglass Kölsch` and `Yuzu Hazy IPA`. According to the official menu, `Lemonglass Kölsch` has an Alc. of 5.0% and an IBU of 17, a lively Kölsch with a light burst of lemongrass. `Yuzu Hazy IPA` has an Alc. of 5.8% and an IBU of 12, a juicy Hazy IPA layered with yuzu peel, juice, and the bitterness of citrus hops. Both are designed with food pairing in mind; the former is suggested with karaage, and the latter with peperoncino.
One of ROMEO BREWERY's appeals is that you can enjoy house-brewed beer in Oshiage alongside dishes centered on pasta. Since weekday service starts at 5:30 PM, it is easy to stop by after work and try the combination of spring menu items and standard beers. It is a place worth visiting for both the food and the beer.
