Collaboration Beer 'Amber Drop'
The guest beer being served at Yamorido, 'Amber Drop,' is a collaboration beer from KYOTO NUDE BREWERY × Yamorido. Inspired by espresso lemonade, it is introduced as a Belgian amber ale steeped with lemon peel and coffee beans (RUDIE blend). The mellow character of the yeast is followed by the fruity notes from the coffee and the tartness of the lemon, unfolding in sequence; it's a beer you'll want to drink while tracing the changes in aroma. Serving sizes are Small 850 yen and Regular 1,300 yen.
The Pleasure of Drinking at Yamorido
Yamorido is a brewpub in Nakaaburakake-cho, Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City. The shop also offers a tasting set of four house beers, so you can start by sampling the core house flavors in small pours before moving on to guest beers. The regular lineup includes the saison 'Chakabuki (Cha Kabuki)' made with Uji-grown karigane tea and yuzu, 'Yamori Gold' using Loral hops, and the American IPA 'Gyu Goroshi,' giving the bar a wide beer range.
Furthermore, the menu also includes Fushimi sake and tea from Yasumoto Chaho, so it can be used for more than just beer, which is very characteristic of Yamorido. This time's 'Amber Drop' has a clear craft-beer identity while also evoking the connection between Fushimi as a place and the breweries of Kyoto. Beer lovers will want to enjoy it alongside a tasting comparison with the house beers.
