HOP MAN, a craft beer pub in Chigasaki, Kanagawa, has newly tapped Fresh Hop Blonde from Shiga Kogen Beer.
The seasonal beer is made with homegrown Cascade harvested on the day of brewing and added immediately as an aroma hop. It is described as a blonde ale / fresh hop ale, with an ABV of 5.0% and 29 IBU.
Fresh Hop Blonde is based on Shiga Kogen Beer’s newer beer, From Scratch, and uses a special pilsner malt exclusively. The malt brings a distinctive, gentle sweetness, while the fresh hops add a smooth, vibrant character that is said to settle naturally on the palate.
Light and approachable while still offering a clear hop expression, the beer is suited to a wide range of occasions—from pairing with food to a simple after-work pint. Its balanced profile also makes it a beer to enjoy slowly over an extended session.
Located on the second floor of Sun Raizu Shonan in Chigasaki, HOP MAN is known as a destination for exploring a wide range of craft beers. This pour offers a chance to experience both the seasonal freshness of wet hops and the malt-focused foundation of Shiga Kogen Beer. Availability may change, so checking with the pub before visiting is recommended.
