Hokkaido Ebetsu-based craft beer maker North Island Beer is heading to Tokyo's Ikebukuro for a Golden Week event. The venue is Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro, located at 1-1-25 Nishi-Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo. The event runs for 15 days, from April 22 to May 6.

What stands out in this announcement is the lineup that combines bottled products and draft beer. The post revealed that the offerings will include the new hazy IPA "GinZY Ginzy", the limited beer "Bokura to, Neko", and draft beer service plus a tasting set. It is notable for offering both the pleasure of taking home a limited beer in a bottle and the pleasure of comparing flavors on the spot.

The sales staff will also change between the first and second halves of the event. Haga will be at the booth in the first half, and Suzuki will take over in the second half. At a fair like this, being able to choose while directly hearing about the brewer's background and the differences in taste is part of the appeal, making it an easy stop for craft beer fans.

North Island Beer is known as a brand rooted in Hokkaido's food culture and land, and it has continued its careful brewing in the spirit of its Ebetsu brewery. As the brewery is also known for its direct-operated Sapporo city taproom, Beer Bar NORTH ISLAND, it seems likely to bring a slightly different "on-site atmosphere" to a department store event as well. This is an appearance worth watching as a chance to encounter that one glass in Tokyo.
