BEER & MUSIC Cafe Raisin-do in Ibaraki, Osaka updated its draft list for July 22. Known for keeping around six to seven draft beers on tap, the pub lined up a mix that moved from Japanese-herb ale to hazy IPA, radler, pilsner, and classic Czech draft lager.
One highlight was Iwate Kura Beer`s `Japanese Herb Ale Sansho`, brewed with sansho pepper from Iwate. The list also featured `Vit Natt IPA : Hazy IPA`, a collaboration between Minoh Beer and Sweden`s BREWSKI, Baeren Brewery`s `Kabosu Radler : Radler` made with kabosu juice, and `Nekojima : Hazy Double IPA`, a collaboration between Pomona Island and ISEKADO. It is a lineup built for comparing aroma, citrus character, and texture side by side.
For drinkers looking for something more classic, `SORACHI 1984 : Pilsner` and Pilsner Urquell`s `Draft Pilsner Urquell : Drought Pilsner Urquell` were also on the list. Having a modern Japanese pilsner hop expression and one of the world`s benchmark pilsners available on the same day gives the tap list extra range.
The bar was scheduled to open from around 5:00 PM until about 10:30 PM, with food last orders at 9:00 PM and drink last orders at 10:00 PM. The food menu included herring marinade from Hokkaido, saba sandwiches, house-made oil sardines, pizzas, smoked dishes, and beer-friendly sides such as pickles and sauerkraut-style cabbage.
Upcoming taps were also announced, including ISEKADO`s `Honkaku IPA : US IPA`, Baeren Brewery`s `Ihatove no Umi : Salty Lager`, and SUNTORY`s `Kaoru Ale : Pale Ale`, suggesting the lineup would keep changing in the days ahead.
