Nagano Prefecture’s Shiojiri City-based Montray Brewing is a brewery that continues to make craft beer while using local ingredients to share the appeal of its region. On its official website as well, it emphasizes a commitment to delivering the scenery and human connections of the area to drinkers through beers that make the most of the region’s character.

In this Instagram post, the brewery announced its participation in Season 2 of "Oedo Beer Festival 2026 Spring" with the message, "Craft beer from all over Japan gathers in Nakano!" Along with a call to people in the Kanto area, the post carried a light tone that fit an outdoor event from spring into early summer.

The event will run from May 27 to May 31, 2026. The venue is the Nakano Central Park Event Area, located a five-minute walk from JR Chuo Line, Sobu Line, and Tokyo Metro Nakano Station. Planned hours are 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on weekdays, 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturdays, and 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sundays. Admission is free, and the event will be held rain or shine, but canceled in severe weather.

The "Oedo Beer Festival" is known as an event where breweries and importers from across Japan gather so visitors can enjoy beer, food, and new encounters. For Montray Brewing as well, it should be a place that makes it easy to convey its brand identity directly as it brings its beer from Shiojiri to Tokyo. It is an exhibit that will likely draw attention not only from those who want to compare different beers, but also from anyone interested in the current scene of regional breweries.
