Six beers on tap in Gifu

BEER&CRAFT in Suminoecho, Gifu City, is currently pouring six craft beers. Three new taps are included, bringing together breweries from Gifu, Osaka, Ehime and Shizuoka.

CAMADO BREWERY’s “SMaSH IPA Dolcita” is a 6.0% IPA brewed with the new Dolcita hop. It offers aromas reminiscent of white peach, lychee and coconut, followed by a clean finish.

BLADE FACTORY BREWING’s “BOKASHI” is a 6.0% Hazy IPA. El Dorado hops contribute ripe pear-like sweetness, while the beer remains juicy and tropical.

From Osaka, CRAFT BEER BASE’s “New Zealand Pale Ale” is 5.0% ABV, with fresh lychee and white-grape aromas, tropical-fruit notes and a crisp finish.

DD4D BREWING’s “Thank you 4 every thing” was brewed to mark BEER&CRAFT’s fourth anniversary. This 4.5% Kölsch offers a floral character and a light, easy-drinking profile.

The remaining taps are West Coast Brewing’s “Watermelon Gose,” a 4.5% gose with fresh watermelon, citrus, herbal notes, gentle saltiness and acidity, and DD4D BREWING’s “Easy Walker,” a 4.5% Iyokan Lager made with Ehime-grown iyokan oranges.

Located one minute from Meitetsu Gifu Station, BEER&CRAFT is suited to an after-work pint or a focused tasting across several styles. It opens Wednesday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday and holidays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The pub is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
