Nasu Garden Brewery announced in an Instagram post on May 11 that it will be exhibiting at the "Oyama Craft Beer Fest". The post noted that the event will be the first beer festival of its kind and said it will be held over two days, Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, at Oyama Goten Square. Hours are 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and the event is scheduled to go on rain or shine, with cancellation in severe weather.

Nasu Garden Brewery is a brand of Nasu Boulder Project Co., Ltd., based in Nasushiobara, Tochigi Prefecture. On its official website, the company says it aims to develop the Nasushiobara area into a city where people can enjoy a "healthy lifestyle", and lists among its goals the construction of a craft beer brewery and the construction of a brewpub with a café. Its directly operated shop is located inside Nasu Garden Outlet, and the company continues its community-rooted approach.

The company's craft beer brand, "NASU de SUNA", carries the idea of "craft beer brewed in Nasu, for Nasu." Its logo incorporates motifs inspired by dairy farming and the Nasu mountain range in Nasushiobara City, giving the brand a design that emphasizes its ties to the local area.

This announcement of participation can be seen as a move showing that this locally rooted brand is expanding its activities beyond Nasushiobara. The first-ever beer fest could offer a chance to taste Nasu craft beer in Oyama.
