Two beers win at JGBA2026

REPUBREW announced that two of its beers won in two categories at the Japan Great Beer Awards 2026, one of Japan's leading beer judging competitions. The award results were “BARREL AGED WILD SAISON” Gold (bottle/can category) and “69IPA” Bronze (keg category). The brewery's signature direction was recognized across different categories.

What kind of beer can you drink?

The characteristics of the two beers highlighted in the award report are easy to understand.

- BARREL AGED WILD SAISON: layered aroma from wood-barrel aging and a refreshing tartness from wild yeast
- 69IPA: a San Diego-style beer with assertive bitterness and a bright hop aroma

One leans into aging and funk, while the other is hop-driven bitterness. Tasting them side by side makes the breadth of REPUBREW's range very clear.

For an experience in Mishima, try “24taps”

“Repubrew Mishima Slider House 24taps” is a beer pub a five-minute walk from Mishima Station, modeled after an American diner. With 24 taps, among the most in the prefecture, and pairing suggestions for each tap, it stands out. Since the food centerpieces are clear, such as sliders made with Ashitaka beef, it is a great spot for anyone who wants to enjoy award-winning beers with a meal.

Note that the beers on offer change daily, so it is best to check whether the award-winning beers are on tap before you visit.
