Isana Brewing (Akishima, Tokyo) is tap-serving the limited-brew beer "FRIEND SHIP FES ALE," made to commemorate the Yokota Friendship Festival. The style is American Pale Ale, with an alcohol content of 5% and an IBU of 30. Generously blended with American hops, it is presented as a beer aimed at a clean finish that makes it easy to keep drinking even in hot weather.

The brewery has operated a "Brewery & Roastery" near the south exit of Akishima Station since 2018. On its official website, it says it continues to make "bitter drinks" that bring smiles through emotion and surprise, while researching the chemical reactions created by Akishima's deep underground water, ingredients, and human encounters on a daily basis. In addition to beer, it also serves in-house roasted coffee and food, giving it a strong identity as a taproom rooted in the local community.

This new release seems positioned as a beer that captures the atmosphere of the event itself. In its post, the brewery even recommends drinking it on the bench in front of the shop, which is striking in that it suggests how to enjoy it on-site as well. It also mentions wholesale sales in kegs and cans, retail can sales for consumers, and reservations for courses and seats, suggesting an intention to expand beyond event use into an everyday beer as well.

Although it is a limited-brew beer, the style is a classic American Pale Ale. The balance between the aroma of American hops and the approachable 5% ABV should be one of the key points to watch in this beer.
