RIKRI BREWING introduces West Coast IPA STORM at 6.5% ABV
RIKRI BREWING in Takaban, Meguro, Tokyo introduced its West Coast IPA STORM. Brewed at 6.5% ABV, the beer is built around Triumph and Citra, with citrus-driven aroma and a clean, firm bitterness in the finish.
RIKRI BREWING highlighted its West Coast IPA, STORM, in an Instagram post. The beer comes in at 6.5% ABV and is built around Triumph and Citra, with Centennial, Citra Dynaboost, CIP076, and Strata CGX added to the hop bill.
The grist uses Weyermann Pilsner Malt and CMC 2ROW, setting a clean base for the hop expression. In the caption, RIKRI describes Triumph as bringing a soft mandarin-like character, followed by grapefruit- and pineapple-like citrus notes and a subtle dank edge.
The result is a beer that feels light on the palate but still carries enough depth to hold its flavor together. A clear West Coast IPA-style bitterness shows up toward the finish, tightening the whole profile and making the beer easy to keep drinking.
The name STORM is said to come from a GENER8ION track. The can label and the branded glass both feature the same logo, reinforcing the brewery’s straightforward, beer-first presentation from its Meguro, Tokyo location.
