Yamorido, a brewpub in Fushimi, Kyoto, has refreshed its recommended menu. In the latest Instagram post, the venue highlights a lineup built around beer-friendly dishes and a broader selection of drinks.
Current tap list
- Chakabuki / Japanese Saison
- Chirin / Weizen w/ kuromoji / Yamorido × NUDE
- Minamikaze / Extra Pale Ale (XPA)
- Yamori Gold L / Golden Ale
- Afternoon Stout / Oatmeal Coffee Stout
- Nanamin (Yamorido 7th Anniversary Brew) / Juicy IPA
- Oscura Dorada / Devil Craft (Tokyo)
- Westerly / Devil Craft (Tokyo)
The board covers a wide range, from a clean saison and a wheat beer brewed with kuromoji to a juicy IPA and a coffee stout. With guest beers from Devil Craft added to the mix, the list gives beer drinkers plenty of room for a side-by-side tasting session.
The updated food menu follows the same direction. One dish features slow-cooked beef shank and green onion dressed with sansho oil, emphasizing a fresh peppery aroma. Another combines hamachi, yam, and tomato in a house-made sweet-and-spicy kimchi-style dressing, which should work well in summer. There is also a seafood paella built on dashi and kombu umami with miso and tomato, plus a pork chop finished with a savory sear.
Set in a renovated Kyoto machiya, Yamorido is the kind of place where the tap list and the food menu are meant to be explored together. The new lineup keeps that balance intact: approachable, beer-focused, and varied enough to suit both dedicated drinkers and guests coming mainly for the food.
