The beer pub `craft beer "Extra Hop"`, located in the alley known as "Okuno Hosomichi" in Chuo-cho, Oita City, announced in an April 25 post that it had tapped `BIRD` from the Hokkaido brewery `Brasserie Knot`.

In the post, the shop announced that it would be open today from 13:30-16:30 and 17:30-22:00. It also noted that food would be limited because it was operating with one person on shift, while signaling a relaxed Saturday setup that welcomes both daytime drinking and evening drinking. The schedule was also shared in detail, with a temporary closure on April 26, temporary opening on April 28, and closure for both lunch and bar service on April 29.

This time's featured beer is `Brasserie Knot / BIRD`. The post introduces it as "a long-awaited standard pale ale from a brewery in eastern Hokkaido," presenting it as a well-balanced beer that feels especially pleasant in the current season. BIRD is a pale ale known for its light body and fruity hop aroma, emphasizing drinkability and cohesion over flashiness. Because its first impression is not too overpowering, its appeal lies in being a beer you can stay with for a long time.

Extra Hop is known as a craft beer specialty shop in Oita with around seven taps on at any given time, and one of the pleasures is finding beers from outside the prefecture. In this post as well, `TRAPDOOR IPA` and `NOVORU Hazy Pale Ale` were described as being close to running out, making for a lineup that was intriguing on both the hop-forward IPA side and the softer hazy side. When you're unsure what to choose in the shop, another pleasure is being able to try one beer at a time while getting recommendations from the staff, which is very much part of the Extra Hop experience.

In the calm atmosphere of the backstreets, you can compare everything from a classic pale ale to hop-heavy beers. That easy everyday usability is part of Extra Hop's appeal, and it comes through in this post as well.
