Gambrinus in Kokubunji updates its tap list with Ise Kadoya and more
Beer Cafe Gambrinus in Kokubunji, Tokyo, posted its June 25 tap update featuring Ise Kadoya Beer's Rush Hop IPA, Ognu, Ushiku Brewery, Repubrew and other mostly domestic craft beers, plus Pilsner Urquell.
Beer Cafe Gambrinus in Kokubunji, a beer pub near the south exit of Kokubunji Station, pairs house-made Japanese dishes with a rotating draft lineup. On June 25, the bar posted its latest tap list and noted that it was operating on its regular schedule.
The lineup leans heavily toward Japanese craft breweries. It includes Ise Kadoya Beer's Rush Hop IPA, Ognu's Biscuit Hop, Ushiku Brewery's Wonder Vogel IPA, Repubrew's Campai Hazy, and Oni Densetsu Beer's Nishi Oni Toki IPA. The list also ranges through Hop Kotan Brewing's Upopo, Kyoto Brewing's Hyotto and Gokanaaru Bi, Hino Brewing's Shishimai Porter, Hansharo Beer's Strawberry Weizen Golden Berry, Iwate Kura Beer's Red Ale, Ushitora Brewery's If in Doubt, This Pale!, and Pilsner Urquell from the Czech Republic.
The post also previewed upcoming pours: Ognu Hazy, Minoh Beer's Saruyama Shikao, and Minoh Beer's Greful Sour. With Gambrinus Shichimi also being discounted while stocks last, the update reads like a snapshot of a neighborhood beer bar that knows its regulars and keeps the tap board moving. The no-charge, non-smoking room and free Wi-Fi make it an easy stop for a relaxed tasting session.
