Hokkaishoji to host summer event "Hokkai Day" on July 12 with OGA BREWING beer sales
Hokkaishoji will hold its summer event “Hokkai Day” on Sunday, July 12, at its office frontage and parking area in Shimorenjaku, Mitaka. The program combines children’s craft sessions with an adults’ beer corner featuring OGA BREWING, a local brewery from the same neighborhood.
Hokkaishoji’s “Hokkai Day” is a community event that pairs a children’s craft activity with craft beer sales for adults. The event will run from 12:00 to 17:00 at the company’s office and parking space.
Crafts for kids
The craft corner will be held inside the office in two sessions: the first from 13:00 and the second from 15:00. Each session is limited to about six participants on a first-come, first-served basis, and admission is free. Tools, including scissors, will be provided, and registration is available via the QR code in the image or the application form in the highlight.
Beer for adults
Beer for adults will be sold on-site by OGA BREWING. After purchase, visitors can drink in the parking area, and bringing snacks is allowed. Hokkaishoji is teaming up with OGA BREWING, a Mitaka brewery located in the same Shimorenjaku neighborhood, to create a casual local event that fits into the everyday surroundings.
About OGA BREWING
OGA BREWING is a Mitaka-based craft brewery with a taproom where guests can enjoy beer while looking at the brewing tanks. The brewery presents its lineup as a kind of “new standard” craft beer and also offers takeout. It has also emphasized making craft beer approachable for people who are new to the category, which makes this kind of neighborhood event a natural fit.
The organizers say event status and weather-related updates will be posted on Instagram and the company website. With crafts and beer on the same day, Hokkai Day looks set to be a locally rooted event that appeals to families and beer fans alike.
