New Tap on March 24: "Nomcraft IPA"

Beer House Hobbit's latest post announced the tapping of Nomcraft Brewing's standard beer from Wakayama, "Nomcraft IPA (American-style IPA)." In the post, it is introduced as a beer based on traditional American IPA methods, with aromas of pine and citrus from dry hopping, and an easy-to-drink finish balanced with the malt backbone.

Six Draft Beers on the Day

The six taps available on Tuesday, March 24, as announced by the shop, were:

- Beer House Hobbit x Shima Brewing (Mie) "AOSORA Refresh Lager"
- Shimanami Brewery (Hiroshima) "Strike Pilsner"
- Kumazawa Brewery <Shonan Beer> (Kanagawa) "Hon Yuzu Saison"
- Swan Lake Beer (Niigata) "Weizen"
- Nomcraft Brewing (Wakayama) "Nomcraft IPA"
- Hirakata Beer (Osaka) "Session Citra White"

With lager, pilsner, saison, Weizen, IPA, and white all on offer, the appeal of the day was the wide range of styles. It was a lineup that made it easy for anyone who wanted to start with a light first beer, or for anyone who wanted to center the session around a hop-forward IPA.

Clear Food Pairings

The post also suggested pairings for the IPA, including "eggplant and salsiccia gratin" and "beef loin / domestic beef rump steak." The combinations were designed to layer savory, meaty flavors over the hop aroma and bitterness. In addition, lighter snacks such as sweet potato chips and new potato butter were also available, making it easy to choose dishes while continuing to drink, which is very much Beer House Hobbit's style.

Beer House Hobbit on Kawaramachi in Hirakata City, Osaka, is a beer pub where you can enjoy domestic breweries across the country while also featuring local collaboration beers. The taps that day, suited to the spring air, offered a compact way to experience the variety of craft beer.
