Two anniversary beers unveiled ahead of the 10th anniversary event

The beer pub "Craft Beer Market Otemachi" in Tokyo's Otemachi area introduced its anniversary beers for the 10th anniversary event on Instagram. This time, the spotlight is on two brews: "Mokumoku Bock," a collaboration with NAMACHA Brewing, and "The Pilsner" with Harvest Moon. The post also shares information about the taps available on the day of the event and crowding guidance.

Mokumoku Bock

"Mokumoku Bock" is 7% ABV. It was created in collaboration with NAMACHA Brewing, envisioned as a smoked Doppelbock. It uses Nugget hops and house-made smoked malt. The goal is a clean drinking finish while firmly retaining the character of the smoke. The post explains that the smoke impression is more restrained than the brewery's flagship Rauchbier, while the malty character comes through clearly. It was also designed with BBQ ribs and tacos in mind.

The Pilsner

The other beer is "The Pilsner," at 4.0% ABV. Brewed jointly with Harvest Moon, it is introduced as a SMaSH pilsner made with Canadian pilsner malt and Czech Saaz Comfort. It makes lavish use of rare next-generation hops and is rounded out in a direction that makes it an easy-drinking pilsner, making it a fitting beer for the anniversary toast.

New taps on the day also draw attention

In the "today's new taps" section of the post, Gotemba Kogen Beer’s "Pils" and Ise Kadoya Beer’s "Niku Kyu IPA" were also announced. In addition to the anniversary beers, the lineup includes more familiar lagers and IPAs, so there should be plenty of options to choose from.

Craft Beer Market Otemachi, the venue for the event, is a beer pub on the first floor of Otemachi Financial City Grand Cube, and is open for weekday lunch and dinner as well as Saturdays. The 10th anniversary event opens at 12:00 on May 23. The interior is planned as all-standing, and the terrace seats are also likely to fill up, so it would be wise to bring a light outer layer when you go.
