FARMENTRY’s New Zealand Pilsner Kegged at MOONRISE KINGDOM
On April 8, the beer pub MOONRISE KINGDOM in Nishi-Shinjuku, Tokyo, announced FARMENTRY’s "New Zealand pilsner" as a new tap. Brewed with Riwaka and NZ Cascade, it is a beer noted for its balance of aroma and crispness.
At MOONRISE KINGDOM (Nishi-Shinjuku, Tokyo), FARMENTRY’s "New Zealand pilsner" appeared on the guest tap on April 8. In the post, it was introduced as a hoppy yet highly drinkable pilsner made with Riwaka and NZ Cascade hops, with delicate aromas reminiscent of white wine and muscat layered with citrus and tropical nuances like lychee and grapefruit.
The beer’s core is the sharp, crisp drinking character typical of a pilsner. It is designed to be enjoyed on its own as well as with food, and the bar also introduced it as a beer that pairs well with dishes.
The day’s recommended food items included BBQ steak tacos, carnitas burritos, shirasu omelets, a spice chicken and side-dish marriage plate, and prosciutto and walnut truffle cream pasta. The lineup, which lets guests enjoy craft beer alongside food, feels very much like MOONRISE KINGDOM. The bar also offers three domestic taps and 30 imported craft beer bottles, underscoring the breadth of its selection as a beer pub.
As spring moves toward its final stretch, a pilsner with layers of aroma inside a light, refreshing profile is well suited both as a first drink and as a meal companion. It is the kind of lineup worth choosing on a day when you want to carefully enjoy the combination of food and beer in Nishi-Shinjuku.
