GRANDPA FISH & CHIPS in Kameido, Tokyo, is set to hold a DD4D tap takeover on Saturday, July 11. The shop’s Instagram post says the event will run from around 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with standing service and plastic cups to keep the setup casual and easy to drop into.

The venue is a fish-and-chips-focused beer pub that opened in 2019. On its official website, GRANDPA describes itself as a place designed to feel welcoming even for first-time visitors, making it a natural stop for drinkers who want to pair craft beer with fried food in a compact neighborhood setting. Its regular hours are listed as 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on weekdays and 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays, so this takeover will be a special-format day.

The event will use a ticket system with the following options:

- Nearly a pint, 6 drinks: 6,500 yen
- Nearly a pint, 3 drinks: 3,600 yen
- Nearly half-pint, 6 drinks: 5,500 yen
- Nearly half-pint, 3 drinks: 3,100 yen
- Single pours: 1,300 yen for nearly a pint, 1,600 yen for TAP 2 only

A small selection of snacks will be sold, while outside food is not allowed. Water and tea for hydration are permitted. The post also notes that TAP 1 and TAP 5 will be off, and asks guests to help finish the remaining kegs before the event. For beer fans in Kameido, it should be a focused DD4D day at one of the city’s most approachable small beer pubs.
