Game Brew Announces Second Batch of UNLEASH Made with Saga-Grown Lemon "Rin no Shizuku"
Saga craft brewery Game Brew has announced the completion of the second batch of its JUICY PALE ALE, UNLEASH. Following the previous green-lemon version, this time it uses fully ripe fruit from the Shiroishi Town lemon "Rin no Shizuku," aiming for a spring-like finish that emphasizes mellow acidity and juiciness.
On March 24, 2026, Game Brew announced on Instagram that the second batch of "UNLEASH" was complete. According to the post, this is a sequel to the JUICY PALE ALE that used the Saga Prefecture Shiroishi Town lemon "Rin no Shizuku," which was well received last time, and this time the focus is on fully ripe yellow lemons.
Whereas the previous batch was characterized by the crisp freshness of green lemons, the second batch was designed to emphasize the mellow acidity unique to ripe fruit and an even stronger juiciness. The approach of differentiating the expression of citrus from batch to batch is a craft-beer-style way of turning seasonal change into liquid form.
The post introduces it as "a glass that is perfect for spring," making clear that it is designed to be enjoyed in a seasonal, limited-time context. Rather than being just another fruit beer, it reflects the brewery's experimental spirit in how it changes the drinking experience by varying ripeness even when using the same ingredient.
Based in Saga, Game Brew sells directly to consumers through its official online store and also operates a members-only wholesale site for businesses. Its official website also positions its beers as something that fits naturally into everyday life, and that commitment to using local ingredients while maintaining flexible batch-based releases carries through to this second batch of UNLEASH.
