GAME BREW Releases Two "FIELD THEORY / SAGA" Beers Featuring Saga Malt
GAME BREW, based in Yoshinogari, Saga, is rolling out "IMMERSIVE" and "EXPANSE" as part of its new "FIELD THEORY / SAGA" series. Along with the two beers built around Saga-produced malt, a mix pack for easy side-by-side tasting is also available.
GAME BREW's new release is the "FIELD THEORY / SAGA" series, which puts Saga ingredients front and center. The lineup consists of two beers: "IMMERSIVE," a Japanese pale ale, and "EXPANSE," a Helles. A mix pack that lets you enjoy both together is also available.
"IMMERSIVE / JAPANESE PALE ALE" is a 5.0% beer made with barley malt, wheat, and rice grown in Saga Prefecture, layered with Citra, Nelson Sauvin, and Columbus. The composition keeps the shape of the grain intact while carefully building hop aroma, and true to its style name, it clearly aims for an immersive drinking experience.
"EXPANSE / HELLES," on the other hand, is a lager made with 100% Saga-produced malt and an IBU of 19. Northern Brewer and Tettnanger are used, and careful lagering brings out a clean sweetness. Rather than flashiness, the beer focuses on well-defined drinkability and depth.
Based in Yoshinogari, Saga, GAME BREW has been strengthening its presence as a brewery that clearly highlights the character of each style, from core lineup beers to limited releases. This new series also connects local ingredients with beer design, offering a release that lets you properly enjoy the differences in aroma and drinkability. It is the kind of release that makes you want to compare the beers and see what the series is aiming for.
